After graduating from Chico State University, Mrs. Hannah was employed by Modesto City Schools for 37 years. During those years she taught Kindergarten through 3rd Grades. She was a Teacher Trainer for the district as both a mentor and trainer for Literacy and Math. She served as an Educational Consultant for several publishing companies for 30 years, training teachers in the use of the materials, math and reading, that were adopted by their district.

She moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills to be closer to her family and grandchildren. She feels fortunate to once again be involved in teaching literacy and the love of reading to young children.

From a Parent

We also had [LIE Student]’s parent teacher conference on Friday and we're so happy to hear that the teacher considers her reading to be on par with most of her classmates. She said she’s reading at a beginning second-grade level and even though they’re heading into the last trimester, it’s great news.

We know she still has areas of improvement, but we’re so happy with the progress she has made in your program. I can’t even think of how difficult school would be for her without the extra one-on-one help she has received.

From Our Director

Research has shown that if children with reading delays receive appropriate intervention by grade 3, future reading problems can be diminished or eradicated. For older children with reading difficulties, effective intervention accelerates their learning and mastery of foundational and/or grade-level skills.

About our teachers

I would highly recommend getting an assessment from Dr. Vogt... My child loves going. Before we started it was a struggle to even get there. Now she doesn’t blink an eye to go. Her confidence in reading has grown leaps and bounds. It’s expensive but well worth the price once you see your child happy
