OUR FOUNDER
Tamie Rogers, founder and director
Tamra “Tamie” Rogers grew up in the Bay Area, spent 18 years in the Pacific Northwest, and came home to California to build Tamraloo Studios. It is now Placer County’s largest performing arts studio.
Tamie holds a BA in Music from William Jessup University and has taught piano and voice for more than 30 years. She is Music Director for Jessup Theatre and assistant choir conductor at Lincoln High. She played Judy Bernley in RCT’s 9 to 5 and directed The Scarlet Pimpernel and Legally Blonde.
She has won multiple SARTA Elly Awards for musical direction and performance, sings soprano with the Merrie Olde Christmas Carolers, and coached two Miss Sac Outstanding Teens to their titles: Aly in 2023 and Kina in 2024.
Outside the studio she serves with the Downtown Lincoln Association, Soroptimists of Lincoln, NAWBO and the Lincoln Fourth of July Committee.

OUR APPROACH
Teaching that goes beyond the lesson.
Tamie runs a formal internship for her student teachers. They train with her, shadow her lessons, and then teach with her in the room until they are ready. Every Tamraloo teacher has been prepared, not just hired.
Our teachers work in their crafts. They front bands, play in ensembles, judge competitions and teach in public schools.
Performance is part of every program. Students perform at the Spring Showcase, recitals, community events and productions throughout the year.
● Charter school funding accepted, including most Placer County charters
● Alta and Own My Own funds accepted
● Private lessons, group classes, camps and productions
